On the 1st of June 2018, the Chief Inspector at Ofsted, Amanda Spielman, spoke at the Pre-School Learning Alliance Conference, where she had engaged nursery staff (amongst others), about 'School Readiness'. She mentioned that "more schools are reporting that children are tuning up to school unable to use the toilet." Mrs Spielman also mentioned that "a recent ATL (Association of Teachers & Lecturers) survey found that some 70% of schools were finding more children were starting school without being toilet trained, compared with 5 years ago."

Due to these alarming issues, Team POTTYTUNITY are passionate about working closely with Nurseries, Childcare Services, Local Authorities, Voluntary Organisations, Health & Government Institutions, to help tackle & help mitigate these ongoing issues. We feel that building strong relationships within the relevant institutions will benefit children in the long run, preventing embarrassing issues and situations, which could indeed lead to bullying in the classrooms.
